Century, TCEQ Continue Fire Clean-Up

JACKSONVILLE, TEXAS – Century Industrial Coatings continues working closely with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality in clean-up efforts after the August 12 fire at Century's Jacksonville, Texas manufacturing facility.

Century will continue to cooperate with and support the TCEQ’s efforts at the site.  Century is not in a position to comment about the cause of the fire at this time—all of the facts and circumstances are not yet known and the investigation is ongoing with local authorities.

"We want to continue to thank the local East Texas community, especially our Jacksonville neighbors, for their continued patience with our clean-up efforts," said Dean Harvey, Century Industrial Coatings' President. "We are doing our very best to ensure that we are meeting all the requirements the TCEQ has set for for us, and we'll continue to do so moving forward."

At approximately midnight on the morning of August 12, a fire broke out at Century Industrial Coatings’ paint manufacturing facility.  Emergency crews responded to the scene and the fire was contained.  No one was injured in the fire.
